Louise
Determined, and possessed of a stare so smoldering it caused atleast one man to end his life for lack of her love. Louise Brooks was (and is) the very definition of the Flapper Vamp. Creator of her own destiny, she walked out on her U.S. contract in 1928 and made two of the silent era's most famous films: "Pandora's Box" and "The Diary of a Lost Girl" in Germany. Relegated to "B" movies with poor parts upon her return home, she left Hollywood and was forgotten until the 1970's. She ended her days as a writer/film commentator/historian for the Eastman House (and others).
